Overview
The Earned Leave Policy provides employees with paid time off for personal reasons, family commitments, vacations, or rest. We believe that taking regular breaks helps maintain a healthy work-life balance and improves overall productivity.
Eligibility
All full-time and part-time employees are eligible for earned leave. The number of days granted may vary depending on the employee’s role, grade, and length of service with the company.
Leave Entitlement
Employees are entitled to 18 days of earned leave per calendar year. Earned leave is accrued monthly and is separate from sick leave and casual leave.
How to Apply for Earned Leave
- Submit your leave request in advance through the HR portal or Help Center.
- Leave requests should ideally be submitted at least 7 days prior to the intended leave date.
- Approval from your reporting manager or team lead is required before the leave is confirmed.
Carry Forward and Encashment
Unused earned leave can be carried forward to the next calendar year, up to a maximum of 30 days. If the balance exceeds this limit, the extra days may lapse unless otherwise stated by the company. Encashment of earned leave is permitted as per company policy, typically at the time of resignation or retirement.
Holiday Planning
Employees are encouraged to plan earned leave in coordination with their teams to ensure smooth workflow and avoid disruption of critical business operations.
Important: Unauthorized or unapproved absences may be treated as unpaid leave.
For any questions about your earned leave balance or assistance with applying, please contact HR or raise a ticket through the Help Center.
